Board of Directors
The Board of Directors oversees the operation of the Irish Franchise Association and is made up of members of the Association.
David Killeen is managing partner of Killeen & Associates, franchise specialists. He holds a B.Comm from UCD, Diploma in Strategic Planning through the IMI and is a graduate member of the IITD. Killeen & Associates provide a complete consultancy services to businesses considering franchising as a possible strategy to scale their business domestically and/or internationally. In addition they provide unbiased best practice advice to prospective franchisees in advance of them buying into an established franchise.
Tom Shanahan is a Director and Co – owner of Kendlebell in Ireland. He has a BBS from Trinity, is a member of the Marketing Institute of Ireland and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. Tom qualified as a chartered accountant in KPMG.
John Green is master franchisor, Ireland, for Chem-Dry carpet & upholstery cleaning franchise. Together with his brother Pat, he acquired the licence in 1989 and currently has 47 franchisees operating across the country.
Alison McGinley is Director of TaxAssist Accountants a franchise with 27 outlets in Ireland. Alison has BSF from Trinity and is a member of the Marketing Institute of Ireland.
Karl Fitzpatrick is the Master Franchisee of Bricks 4 Kidz in Ireland. Bricks 4 Kidz is the world’s leader in the provision of educational play programmes for children. This franchise very much compliments Karl’s experience within the education sector, where he is the Managing Director of Chevron Training & Recruitment, one of Ireland’s largest private training providers. Karl is also the President of Wexford Chamber of Commerce and the presenter of Business Matters, South East Radio’s flagship business programme.
George is currently the Group Commercial Director for Rocket Restaurants Group which consists of 4 brands (Eddie Rockets, Rockets, Counter Burger & Flash Harry’s). The group has over 50 restaurants in operation, with 26 of those restaurants being franchised. He holds a BA(Hons) in Accounting & Finance and also holds qualifications and membership within CIMA, and is also a member of the Irish Hospitality Institute.
Barry Sisk is Franchise Manager for Musgrave Wholesale Partners with responsibility for food service franchises.
Previously Barry worked as Head of Franchise for McDonald’s Restaurants of Ireland Ltd for nearly five years from 2013 and worked for McDonald’s for many years including time working directly for a franchisee.
Jonathan is a university graduate & has over 35 years professional management experience in the Hospitality Industry, working In London, New York & Dublin. His UK experience includes multi-store management for a fast-food group, contract catering & he spent time lecturing in The Business Faculty at The University of North London. In 1997 Jonathan moved to Dublin to raise his family. He spent 16 years as Operations Director at Ireland’s most successful fast-casual restaurant chain. In 2012 he setup Frontline Hospitality Services, which has been providing consultancy services to the hospitality sector in Ireland. He joined Freshly Chopped as Chief Operations Officer in 2016 & has led the company’s rapid franchise expansion.
