The Irish Franchise Association launches first ever Women in Franchising luncheon 28th September 2022
The Counter Restaurant, Suffolk St, D2 – The Irish Franchise Association hosted its first ever ‘Women in Franchising’ event on Wednesday 28th September, with guest speaker Chupi Sweetman.
Caroline Wallace, director of the Irish Franchise Association (currently the only female Director from a Board of 12 members) and MD of The Zip Yard stated, “I am hugely passionate about encouraging female entrepreneurship in Ireland specifically in the franchise sector”. “The event is all about bringing women from the franchise space together to highlight and promote the huge contribution they make to the overall franchise community throughout Ireland”
The Irish Franchise Association is in existence since 1983 and this is the first dedicated ‘Women in Franchising’ event undertaken to date. The event welcomed more than 100 women from some of Ireland’s best-known franchises; Eddie Rockets, DNG Auctioneers, Tax Assist and Chem-Dry along with some newer entrants to the franchise community such as Lingotots. Industry professionals from a cross-section of businesses including Permanent TSB, Worldpay & Just Eat also attended.
David Killeen, CEO of the Irish Franchise Association said “It’s super exciting to see the impact that initiatives like this can have on the association, our membership and the overall franchise community at large. Here’s to many more similar events highlighting the huge contribution that women have made and continue to make to the success of the franchise industry!”
