About the Gala Evening & Awards

Where will the event take place?

The venue is Clontarf Castle Hotel, Dublin.

What is the dress code?

The dress code is black tie.

What time will the event begin?

The reception will begin at 7pm on Friday 27th September. Estimated end time is 11:15pm.

Buying tickets

Tickets can be purchased by emailing or by filling out the Book Your Table form under the ‘Awards’ menu on the website. Tickets start at €150 and decrease in cost for groups.

Some FAQs About the Awards Process

How long is the nomination process?

The nomination process opens on Monday 20th May and runs for circa 6 weeks to 30th June 2019. During this period, any franchise can be nominated for their particular category.

What happens after the nomination process?

The nomination process closes on 30th June. All franchisees nominated will be approached to enter the awards and sent an application form. This process will run throughout July with the Entry Awards closing on 31st July.

Judging of Awards

During the first 2 weeks of August the awards will be judged by our independent judging panel, chaired by Bobby Kerr. A short list will be drawn up by category and this will be announced in mid-August.

When can I buy my tickets for the Gala Dinner and Awards?

Tickets will be sold for our gala dinner during August and September. This dinner will be open to all entrants, shortlisted companies, franchise companies and anybody else interested in attending the Gala Ball and Awards.

What are the prices for the tickets to the Gala Ball and Awards?

Individual tickets will be €150 each with a table for 8 selling at €1000 and a table for 10 selling at €1250.

If I don’t enter the awards can I attend the dinner?

Yes, you can attend the Gala dinner if you don’t enter the awards but conditional upon us facilitating the award nominees’ representatives first.

Where and when is the Awards and Gala Dinner taking place?

The Awards dinner will be held in Clontarf Castle on the evening of 27th September. The event will be compered by Shane Coleman of Newstalk and promises to be a great evening with entertainment provided and, of course, the winners in each category announced.

Will there be a separate award for Franchisees this year?

Once the initial nomination process is completed for each of the categories, franchisees will be encouraged through their support office to submit an application for “Franchisee of the year Retail” and “Franchisee of the year Service” as in previous years.

Will there be sponsorship opportunities available to support the event?

Yes, as with previous years there will be sponsorship opportunities for all franchises to support the event. The event management team will be in contact or you can submit your interest in sponsoring the awards through emailing
